The chairman and CEO of Spain’s Ebro Puleva, which owns New World Pasta, said the business would look to “drive pasta innovation” under Smith’s leadership.


“Peter has demonstrated exceptional leadership and creative vision on our North American pasta business, while at the same time he has worked very closely with our worldwide pasta businesses in Europe,” Hernandez said.


Before joining New World Pasta, Smith had stints at Procter & Gamble, Heinz and Del Monte Foods.
