Friesland Foods has said that Robert van Ballegooijen, a member of its executive board, is to leave the group to join Bart’s Retail Ltd (Bart Bakker).

Van Ballegooijen, 42, will leave the board at the end of January 2008. He will take up the position of general director at Bart Bakker. Van Ballegooijen has been a member of the board of Friesland since 1 January 2006.


In a statement, the board said it regrets the departure of Van Ballegooijen an expressed its appreciation for his commitment to the company over a 17-year career.


The board said it was reflecting on a successor.
