Endi stores, controlled by the Gima wholesale retailer, will number 100 by the end of this year, and 50 more stores will be added to the Kommart discount chain, controlled by Kombassan Holding.
French giant Carrefour established a joint venture with Sabanci Holding to establish a 39 strong chain of Dia stores. Carrefour has also revealed plans to expand the chain to 80 stores this year.
