Israeli food and beverage firm Strauss Group has seen overseas growth drive an increase in third-quarter profits.

Strauss, which produces Sabra salads and Max Brenner confectionery, booked operating profit of NIS145.7m (US$37.7m) – a jump of over 25% – for the three months to the end of September.
Revenue rose 17.6% to NIS1.6bn, buoyed by a jump in US of the company’s Sabra salads, which leapt 82%.
Strauss has 27% of the Mediterranean salads category in the US and has been linked to a possible local tie-up with PepsiCo.
