The US-based firm said today (1 October) that Wilson would replace Robert Lawless as CEO, who plans to retire after 30 years at the company next year.
Wilson, 49, joined McCormick in 1993 and was appointed as its president and chief operating officer last December.
Lawless, 60, had served as president and CEO since 1997 and said Wilson’s appointment would bring a “great diversity of experience” to the business.
Wilson added: “McCormick is well-positioned for global growth with a strong, experienced management team. I am looking forward to working with our board of directors, the leadership team and all of our employees to take us to the next level.”
