Unconfirmed reports that mad pig disease has been discovered in neighbouring Thailand and Cambodia prompted the MOT to employ technical barriers to prevent disease transmission, explained the MOT. Deputy head of the import-export division, Nguyen Khanh Loan, added that no ban on imports from these areas has been implemented.
