Kraft Foods International, EU region, and CPGmarket.com, the B2B Internet marketplace, have completed a successful pilot using the CPGmarket.com eSourcing Service to optimise Kraft’s buying procedures.

Kraft held two separate auctions over two half-hour periods, each involving five major suppliers based in three European countries. Food additive contracts worth close to E1m were auctioned, using CPGmarket.com reverse auctions tools.
The CPGmarket.com eSourcing service allows members to seek out suppliers on-line, conduct on-line tenders and electronic auctions, significantly reducing the amount of time required to complete these processes.
Senior purchasing managers who observed the auction live are said to have been positive about the system and the process.
CPGmarket.com, founded by Danone, Nestlé, Henkel and SAP based in Geneva, Switzerland, went live this October with the first of a series of major SAP Markets software releases following successful pilots conducted during the summer.
