German dairy group Müller is set to form a joint venture with an Israeli Coca-Cola Co. bottler for the Bulgarian and Romanian markets.
Müller and Central Bottling Co. have struck a deal to market the dairy firm’s products in the two countries, a spokesman for Coca-Cola Co. told just-food today (16 August).
The spokesman said the two sides have signed an initial deal to form the venture although final details have yet to be agreed. Müller products could begin to be sold in Bulgaria and Romania from next year.
The venture is the latest partnership between the two sides. Late last year, Müller appointed Central Bottling Co. as its distributor in Israel.
Central Bottling Co. has a history in the dairy sector; in 1994, the bottler bought Israel’s third-largest dairy firm, Tara.
