Discount chain Lidl has invested close to EUR25m in a new, 30,000 sq.m logistics hub, employing 170 people, which has just entered service near Strasbourg’s Entzheim airport, in eastern France. 


Lidl is building two similar-sized facilities in Rennes (Brittany) and Meaux (south of Paris) which are due for completion at the end of the year. 


With around 1,400 stores in France and the country’s leading discount chain by market share,  Lidl has also just completed the extension of its French HQ in Strasbourg.


Over EUR 10m has been invested at the site which now comprises facilities covering  8,600 sq.m. 250 staff are now based at the HQ.
