The European Foods Safety Authority (EFSA) has called for expressions of interest to join its management board.
EFSA, based in the Italian city of Parma, is looking to fill seven of the 15 positions on the board, which is the authority’s governing body.
The board establishes EFSA’s budget and work programmes and appointing the executive director and members of the scientific committee.
The European Commission draws up a shortlist of candidates for board membership, which is sends to the European Council. The board members are named after consultation with the European Parliament.
The final deadline for applications is 24 September.
