Alliance Fromagere, the sales arm of Bongrain, is to move its 48 staff from Epinal to Nancy by next summer.

The relocation comes as Alliance Fromagere looks to facilitate links between Bongrain’s different production sites. The sales business sells cheeses produced by Bongrain’s various units, including Bongrain Gerard.

A Bongrain spokesperson told just-food today (1 August) that Bongrain Gerard used to have a sales team for each of its four production sites. The move to Nancy, she said, would see one sales force cover the Bongrain Gerard business.

The spokesperson added that most of the workers had accepted the move to Nancy but that Bongrain is looking to find those less keen other posts across the business.

Last week, Bongrain posted a 3.7% rise in revenue for the first half of the year. Sales came in at EUR1.7bn (US$2.3bn), driven by strong growth in sales of the company’s “other dairy products”, including technical butters and dairy proteins.
