Groupe Danone has revamped its top management team to prepare for the upcoming integration of Dutch nutrition group Royal Numico into the business.

The French food group said today (31 July) that it has appointed two co-chief operating officers. Leading Danone executives Emmanuel Faber and Bernard Hours will take up the positions.
Hours, currently in charge of Danone’s fresh dairy business will also take on responsibility for Danone’s three other business divisions; beverages, baby food and clinical nutrition.
Faber will take charge of all corporate functions, including finance and social responsibility.
Danone has set up a strategic committee to be headed by current vice chairman and COO Jacques Vincent. Meanwhile, the company has changed the composition of its executive committee, which will be made up of 12 members.
