The Denmark-based group dropped the hint after yesterday (23 July) announcing that it had sold breakfast foods business Crispy Food for an undisclosed sum.

An Arla spokesman told just-food that would continue to look at its operations to see if further disposals are desirable.

“Arla Foods own many companies and we are assessing the list on an on-going basis to see which of the non-core businesses might make sense to sell off,” the spokesman told just-food. “Obviously, such an assessment takes many other aspects into consideration.”

Last month, Arla decided to stop producing emmental cheese, a decision that will lead to the closure of a dairy in Denmark.
