US confectionery giant Hershey has promoted one of its executives to the roles of senior vice president and CFO.
Hershey has appointed Bert Alfonso, currently vice president for finance and planning at the North American commercial group, to the positions.
The appointment comes some six months after former Hershey CFO was moved to the positions of executive vice president and chief operating officer at the company.
Alfonso joined Hershey in 2006 after three years at Cadbury Schweppes’ North American operations, where he was CFO.
“Bert’s knowledge of the confectionery industry and deep international experience will be crucial as we expand Hershey’s North American leadership position and accelerate growth in high- potential global markets,” Richard Lenny, Hershey’s chairman, president and CEO, said.
