Tully’s Coffee Corporation announces the appointment of Jamie Colbourne to the position of chief executive officer (CEO).
The appointment comes one month after Colbourne joined Tully’s as president, chief operating officer and member of Tully’s Board of Directors, in March 2001. Colbourne will retain the position of president. In addition to overseeing Tully’s operations, Colbourne will focus on the strategic direction, profitability and growth of Tully’s Coffee. The founder of Tully’s, Tom O’Keefe retains the title and role of Head Barista and Chairman of the Board of Directors. This enables O’Keefe to focus his abilities on further developing the Tully’s brand.

Colbourne has 17 years of experience in management and has been directly involved with major acquisitions and growth opportunities in the food and beverage industry. Prior to joining Tully’s, Colbourne served as president and chief executive officer for Specialty Frozen Products from 1993 to 2000 where he increased corporate profits by more than 400%. From 1991 to 1992, he served as director of finance for The Haagen-Dazs Company where he was responsible for all financial reporting and planning functions. Prior to his position with The Haagen-Dazs Company, Jamie spent three years as chief financial officer for 7 Up Canada, located in Ontario, the largest Pepsi bottler in Canada, following three years as director of finance for The Coca-Cola Company, Inc.

A native of Canada, Colbourne attended St. Mary’s University in Nova Scotia, Canada and obtained a Chartered Accounting Designation at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
