The Vietnam arm of Anglo-Dutch giant Unilever has pledged VNÐ40m to help victims of a recent whirlwind. The money was handed over by company director general Michel P. Dallemagne. HCMC’s outlying district of Cu Chi was devastated by the whirlwind, which swept through the area about ten days ago. 73 houses were destroyed and some 700 badly damaged.
