Kraft Foods Inc., a global leader in branded foods and beverages, announced Friday (4 May) that it has named James P. Dollive, 49, as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for its worldwide food business. Dollive had been Senior Vice President, Finance and Information Systems for Kraft Foods North America. Dollive will report jointly to Betsy D. Holden, Co-CEO of Kraft Foods Inc. and President and CEO of Kraft Foods North America (KFNA), and Roger K. Deromedi, Co-CEO of Kraft Foods Inc. and President and CEO of Kraft Foods International (KFI).
“Jim brings a sustained record of leadership, insight and accomplishment to his new responsibilities,” said Deromedi. “His extensive knowledge of the food industry and his financial and planning expertise, along with his experience in both domestic and international markets make him uniquely qualified for this new leadership role.”

Kraft also announced the appointment of Ralph J. Nicoletti, 43, as Senior Vice President, Finance, Kraft Foods North America, succeeding Dollive. Since 1999, Nicoletti has been Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis for Kraft Food North America. Nicoletti will report to Holden and serve on the company’s Management Committee.
“With these two appointments, we’ve strengthened our finance organization on both a worldwide and North American basis,” said Holden. “As Jim assumes global responsibility, Ralph is ideally suited to lead finance across North America. He has excelled in finance roles across every aspect of our business and his leadership on key growth initiatives and the integration of Nabisco have provided significant contributions to our performance.”
As a result of these moves, the Information Systems organization in North America, which had reported to Dollive and is led by Stephen Finnerty, 52, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, will now report to Irene Rosenfeld, 48, Group Vice President, Kraft Foods North America, and President, Operations, Technology, Information Systems, and Kraft Foods Canada, Mexico & Puerto Rico.
Dollive joined the company in 1978 and has held a range of significant finance and strategy positions. In 1992 he was named Vice President of Finance for Kraft Canada. In January of 1995 he was named Vice President of Finance Planning and Analysis for Kraft Foods. He assumed leadership of KFNA’s strategy organization in 1996. The following year he was named Vice President of Finance and Systems for the Western European Region of Kraft Jacobs Suchard, based in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 1998 he has been Senior Vice President of Finance and Information Systems for KFNA.
