CanGro, owned by private equity firm Sun Capital Partners, sold the business for an undisclosed sum to Baxters Canada.


CEO Bruce Major said the company wants to focus on developing new products behind its Del Monte and Aylmer fruit, tomato and vegetable products.


Major said: “The sale supports our strategy to focus on growth through new products behind our category leading Del Monte and Aylmer Brands as well as through accretive acquisitions.”
