The Food Institute today announced that Jim Gawley has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President-Business Development.

Mr. Gawley’s responsibilities in this new position include managing the association’s growing business development operations including numerous advertising/sponsorship programs, internet/intranet content initiatives and value-added information services for members.

”In my new position I will focus on The Food Institute’s rollout of corporate licensing of our Daily Email Updates and Market Info Centers,” said Mr. Gawley. ”Through existing and developing strategic partnerships with other trade associations and leading technology firms, The Food Institute will be expanding the number of marketing opportunities it offers its members through advertising/sponsorships and corporate surveys.”

Since 1997 Mr. Gawley served as Vice President-Publications. He joined The Food Institute in 1991 as a Food Industry Analyst.

In making the announcement Food Institute President Rick Pfaff said, “Jim has always demonstrated a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and expertise in developing our business strategies and has already made significant contributions to Food Institute growth objectives.”

A 1990 graduate of Boston University, Jim resides with his wife and daughter in Bloomingdale, NJ.
