POLAND: Baltic states ban Polish beef after mad cow case
The discovery of mad cow disease in Poland’s national herd has led bordering Baltic states to ban beef and cattle imports from the country. Officials and news media in Latvia and Estonia revealed the decision to ban imports after news of the first BSE case in Poland broke at the weekend.
