“At Walkers’ we can be totally transparent about what goes into making our delicious toffee. We want our retailers and customers to know that it’s nothing but the finest quality natural ingredients and absolutely no artificial colour or preservatives,” managing director Ian Walker commented.

Responding to the increased concerns about health and diet, Walker said that the best advice consumers could follow is to consume things they enjoy, including confectionery, in moderation.

“There’s no doubt that large amounts of confectionery are not good for us, but in reality, we’re not going to give up the enjoyment that we receive from our favourite treats. The best advice for consumers is to continue to indulge but be aware what’s in the products you are purchasing and enjoy it in smaller portions,” he said.
