ConAgra Foods has issued a recall for 402,623 pounds of undercooked pasta and meatball meals due to under processing, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) announced yesterday (12 February).

The voluntary recall was issued after the company discovered the problem. No reports of illness have been received either by the company or FSIS from consumers.


The product subject to the recall is 36.6 ounce cartons of Banquet, Homestyle Bakes, Pasta & Meatballs in Marinara Source with Meat, Penne Pasta & Grated Cheese. Each carton bears the UPC code: 501004073 and best-by dates: 25 January 2008, 13 December 2007 and 19 October 2007.
