Nine new products are included in WW Johnson’s rollout. In addition to fresh bulk ground beef, the company is now offering eight fresh ground beef pattie products of various weights and shapes. Since its initial launch, WW  Johnson’s sales of SureBeam processed product have surged by approximately 1000%.

“Our customers are very pleased with these products,” said Thomas M. Racciatti, WW Johnson Meat Company’s president. “For over a half century, we have been committed to providing our customers with the best tasting, highest quality ground beef products on the market. To the great satisfaction of our customers, SureBeam processed products not only enhance safety, but they also afford our clients another extraordinary benefit: the ability to choose better-tasting, longer-lasting fresh ground beef rather than having to resort to frozen product to achieve extended shelf-life.”

Similar to a microwave oven, SureBeam(R) technology uses ordinary electricity as its energy source to irradiate and eliminate with ionizing energy harmful bacteria-such as e. coli, listeria, and salmonella– enhancing a food’s quality and extending its shelf life without compromising its taste, texture, or nutritional value. According to the Centers for Disease Control, food-borne diseases strike 76 million Americans annually, leading to more than 5,000 deaths-predominately among children, the elderly, and the unborn. The SureBeam(R) technology is designed to help decrease the incidence of food-borne illnesses.
