Oakes comes to Dairy Crest from Somerfield, where he was group logistics and IT director. Prior to that, he held various senior positions with Safeway, Wincanton Logistics and Tibbett & Britten Group.


Oakes replaces Mark Allen following his appointment as chief executive of Dairy Crest.
