“[GO-Lobby Day] is a great opportunity for our members to stay involved in the legislative process and build relationships with their members of Congress,” said Steven C. Anderson, president and CEO of the NRA.

“The restaurant industry is the nation’s largest private-sector employer, so it is vital that US legislators understand the complex issues facing the country’s work force on a daily basis.

“The political and legislative perspectives that our members will receive from such speakers as Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, and Rep. Pat Toomey (R-PA), a former restaurateur, will serve as invaluable tools both here in Washington and in their respective communities.”

Restaurateurs from across the country representing all segments of the industry – from quickservice to fine dining – will visit Capitol Hill to explain how legislative issues impact their businesses. Those issues include tax relief, pension restrictions immigration reform, minimum wage and health care reform.
