NutraCea will commence production of organic rice baby cereal for the private label brand of a supermarket chain that operates over 1600 stores nationwide. The retailer remained unnamed due to confidentiality restrictions.
“We’re very pleased to be able to provide this national grocery store chain with a high quality organic rice baby cereal product,” said Margie Adelman, NutraCea SVP. “We also have plans for line extensions that will include an additional organic cereal with a different formulation for the second quarter of 2007.”
“We’re delighted to have captured the attention of one of the top three grocery store chains in the country and we are engaged in discussions about developing finished products based on NutraCea’s proprietary stabilised rice bran product portfolio in a variety of categories,” Adelman added.
