Miami-based fastfood giant Burger King Corporation (BKC) is implementing a new structure within its worldwide legal organization.
Barry Blum, previously VP general counsel North America, has been promoted to senior VP, deputy general counsel, reporting to Ben Hirst, executive VP and general counsel for BKC. In this new role, Barry will manage BKC’s North America legal function and assume the additional responsibility for coordinating legal processes in international markets, including legal risk assessment and leveraging best practices.
Continuing to report to Blum are Craig Prusher, senior director, associate general counsel, Tony Moralejo, senior director, associate general counsel, Elsie Romero, senior director, associate general counsel and Matt Sitkowski, senior attorney.
Heileen Bell recently joined BKC in the position of senior attorney, real estate, reporting to Tony Moralejo.
Additionally, Marlene Mitchell Gordon, previously senior attorney, marketing & trademarks, US for BKC, has been appointed to the position of corporate counsel, Burger King Brands, Inc. In this role, she will continue to direct legal support for BKC’s marketing organization and will report directly to Chris Clouser, president, Burger King Brands, Inc.
