Southern-style produce specialist Glory Foods has signed a distribution deal with logistics group CH Robinson that it said would result in greater product availability and enhanced support services for retail customers.

Glory Foods said the partnership with CH Robinson would allow it to “focus on new product development and marketing”, while CH Robinson oversees distribution, sales and retail customer support services.

CH Robinson will work directly with growers, packers and retailers to increase operational efficiencies and speed from farm to table, Glory Foods added.

“We are very excited about this relationship,” said Glory Foods president Jacqueline Neal. “Working with CH Robinson allows us to concentrate on our specialty – developing quality Southern-style food products that appeal to consumers’ tastes and meet retailers’ needs.”

Dan Jost, produce manager at CH Robinson, said: “This new relationship directly aligns with our company directives to employ supply chain efficiencies, and use our network to expand the sales audience of small-to-medium sized marketers and growers.”
