The lowest amount of organic farmland is in Norway, 20,523 hectares, which comprises a mere 3% of Scandinavian organic farmland. Sweden has the largest market for organic vegetables in Scandinavia. Swedes are the largest consumers of organic vegetables in Europe, with the organic vegetables market estimated to exceed 8% of the vegetable market in the coming years.

The organic potatoes market is the largest product segment, representing a half of Scandinavian organic vegetable market volumes. The organic onions market is to show the highest growth over the forecast period. Rapid growth is to be in countries like Finland where over 12% of all onions are grown organically.
