United Biscuits (UBUK) has revamped its McCoy’s crisps range with the addition of a new flavour.

As well as introducing a Sizzling King Prawn flavour, which will be out in January, the company has reduced the saturated fat content of its crisps by 30%.

The existing Mexican Chilli flavour will be available in a new ‘composite case’ that also includes Thai Sweet Chicken and Sizzling King Prawn. The company’s Thai Sweet Chicken & Oriental Ribs will also become part of the main core range.

Nick Stuart, commercial manager, UBUK said: “The new packaging design will make the range stand out amongst its competitors and help consumers easily differentiate between the flavours. Retailers have seen good sales growth because of the McCoy’s TV advertising and I am pleased to say that McCoy’s will be back on our screens in 2009.”

In the New Year a promotional Value Classic 18-pack will be introduced.
