Seven & i Holdings’ Seven-Eleven Japan and Lawson have both decided to edge in on Japan’s famous JPY100 shop territory with new additions to their inexpensive frozen ranges. The convenience retailers have launched these line extensions despite the slump in frozen food sales in Japan following a scare over imported frozen food from China. Nevertheless, Seven-Eleven’s frozen-food sales in June rose 20% on the year according to the company
