Canadian frozen dessert maker CoolBrands International has said it is expecting to report a rise in fourth-quarter earnings.

Toronto-based CoolBrands said it expects its fourth-quarter earnings to be between 26 and 28 Canadian cents (US$0.19-0.21) a share.


CoolBrands reported net earnings of 17 Canadian cents a share in the year-ago period.


The company, which last week announced a tie-up with Atkins Nutritionals, said it expects earnings per share for the fiscal year to be between 58 cents and 60 cents per share.
