US food group Ralcorp Holdings has bought Canadian frozen breakfast food manufacturer Sepp’s Gourmet Foods for an undisclosed sum.
Ralcorp, a private-label supplier to US retailers, has been on an acquisitions spree, with the move its fourth procurement in the last few weeks, following its purchase of American Italian Pasta Co., and Canadian cracker firms North American Baking and J.T Bakeries.

Sepp’s Gourmet Foods produces frozen breakfast foods for the retail and food service sectors with annual net sales of approximately US$29.3m. It will continue its operations in Delta, British Columbia and in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
“We welcome the Sepp’s management team and employees to the Ralcorp family. Sepp’s will become a key part of our frozen bakery business and will enhance Ralcorp’s frozen bakery product offerings,” said Ralcorp co-CEO and president Kevin Hunt.
