A board member since August 2005, Hensel was previously responsible for Rewe Group Italia.


Werner Wutscher will remain in charge of the company’s organic Yes! brand and Lionel Souque will be responsible for Rewe’s foreign business in Central and Eastern Europe and Italy, as well as the activities of its European alliance Coopernic.


“This step will further strengthen our Austrian division and help us implement decisions within the Austrian market much faster,” said Rewe Group CEO Alain Caparros.
