At the end of last month, the Swiss firm opened its first chocolate factory in South America, located near São Paulo in Brazil.
Remy, 52, has spent all his career with the group, taking up an initial post in 1981 as export customer service manager at Cacao Barry in France.
He was latterly the vice president of Callebaut’s Cocoa Americas unit based in Chicago.
