European Union ministers have been asked to approve a comprehensive trade agreement between the EU and Bosnia and Herzegovina covering a number of food products.

The deal would see Bosnian import duties on many EU foods – especially meat and vegetable products – being scrapped within five years.
The Bosnians have also agreed to formally protect geographical designations of EU-made wines.
In return, the EU will immediately scrap import duties on a wide range of Bosnia-made food products, ranging from dairy to confectionary, processed meat to fish.
