Following the company’s ordinary shareholders’ meeting yesterday (9 April), Parmalat’s board has confirmed the re-election of its chairman and chief executive.
Raffaele Picella will continue as chairman and Enrico Bondi has been appointed chief executive officer for a further three years.
Reported shareholder opposition to Bondi’s reappointment from investment funds was dropped last month. Only one slate of directors was proposed for shareholder consideration.
