Food and dairy giant Groupe Danone has remained silent on reports it will receive EUR800m (US$1.27bn) to EUR1.7bn for exiting its joint venture with Chinese beverage group Wahaha.

Danone has been accused of violating the terms of the 1996 joint venture agreement with Wahaha, and last month it was reported that the beverage partner rejected a proposal by Danone to revise ownership terms.
When contacted by just-food today (10 April) Danone declined to make any comment on the rumours.
