Lacteos do Brazil will acquire the dairy processing and distribution operations of local peer Montelac Alimentos SA.
The dairy processor, a subsidiary of LAEP Investments, has signed a memorandum of understanding concerning the acquisition, LAEP said in a statement.
The deal is subject to the completion of due diligence, LAEP added.
