France-based Nutrition & Santé, the high-value dietary food product specialist, has acquired the Binaman brand in Spain following an agreement with Merck Farma & Quimica.
Created in 1978, Binaman has a range of 21 products and claims a share of more than 50% of Spain’s slimming market, built on a strong presence in pharmacy outlets.
Earlier this year, Nutrition & Santé acquired French firm Céréalpes, which specialises in soya and cereal-based galettes.
With brands including Gerblé, Gerlinéa, Céréal Isostar and Soy, Nutrition & Santé is present in 40 countries, employs 950 staff and has an annual turnover of EUR260m (US$403m).
