US food group Bruce Foods is to extend one of its plants in Louisiana, a move that will create 43 jobs.
According to an announcement from the Louisiana Economic Development agency, the US$5m expansion to the New Iberia plant was part-funded with state loans.

Bruce Foods will manufacture new value-added products from root vegetables, such as sweet potato, carrot and squash once the plant expansion is complete, the agency added.
