California-based natural foods specialist Attune Foods is launching two probiotic wellness bars this month.
The company claimed the launch was a bid to offer consumers a product with “five times” the beneficial cultures found in yoghurt.
Only last week, just-food reported on a lawsuit served against the US subsidiary of Danone for the alleged use of false advertising to promote its probiotic yoghurt.
Attune claims its two bars contain “three different specially formulated LAFTI probiotic strains that are part of the natural flora in our digestive systems”.
The Wellness bars will be available in chocolate and mango peach, each containing three grams of fibre and made with vegan and gluten-free ingredients.
