The variant is made using Montmorency Tart Cherries covered in Nestle dark chocolate. The product is available in a 4oz re-sealable stand up bag.

A series of ‘webisodes’ will accompany the launch beginning 23 March. And from 1 April consumers can enter a competition to win a daily “road trip” prize, including a GPS system and iPod.

Entrants will then be entered into a grand prize draw to win an “ultimate road trip” for the winner and three friends.

“We’re pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response to Cranberry Raisinets and are looking forward to hearing consumer responses to Cherry Raisinets,” said Tricia Bowles, spokesperson for Nestle’s US Confections & Snacks division.
