Stonyfield Farm, the largest organic yoghurt producer in the US, has relaunched its high calcium yoghurt 2-a-Day as an organic option with a new name – YoCalcium.
The emphasis for the brand is on the 50% recommended calcium content, which president of Stonyfield Farm, Gary Hirshberg said, is “twice the amount of other leading yoghurts”.
“Getting enough calcium is a concern for everyone, and we wanted to make the benefits of this yoghurt as clear as possible,” Hirshberg said.
The relaunch follows Stonyfield Farm’s conversion to organic last year. The new product is made without antibiotics, synthetic growth hormones or toxic, persistent pesticides.
It is available in three flavours at a suggested retail price of US$0.89 per cup.
