US dairy firm HP Hood has launched ice cream commemorating baseball team Boston Red Sox in supermarkets throughout New England.
The product, an addition to Hood’s IttiBitz portfolio range, consists of small pieces of ice cream and chocolate in the shape of the Boston Red Sox logo.
“We know kids, families and even Red Sox players are going to love our new celebratory treat that melts on your tongue,” says Lynne Bohan, a spokesperson for HP Hood.
The product, previously only available at sports venues and amusement parks, will now be on sale in supermarkets in 11 flavours.
The entire line of IttiBitz is available at Shaw’s, Hannaford Supermarkets, DeMoulas/Market Basket and Stop & Shop with a suggested retail price of US$0.99-1.39.
