Dutch supermarket giant Albert Heijn has been forced to recall a line of chocolate-coated raisins after a supplier filled some packages with chocolate-covered nuts.

A spokesperson for the retailer, which is the largest in the Netherlands, said a customer had alerted the company to the problem over the Christmas period.
“We didn’t want to take the risk,” the spokesperson said, referring to a potential threat to consumers with nut allergies.
The spokesperson said the recall only affected “a small number” of products and added that Albert Heijn was in discussions with its supplier over when the line would be stocked again.
