UK organic chocolate maker Green & Black’s is to expand its ice cream offering and launch its first ice cream stick, in a bid to compete in the lucrative premium ice cream market.

In early May, the company will launch three ice cream flavours – chocolate orange, chocolate mint and vanilla caramel nut – as well as launching a stick ice cream consisting of chocolate ice cream coated in dark organic chocolate. Green & Black’s also plans to launch 100ml tubs of its existing praline and dark toffee flavours, reported Marketing.

Green & Black’s currently controls just 1.65% of the £165m (US$258m) premium ice cream market in the UK, having entered the ice cream market four years ago.
