AH, which is Holland’s largest supermarket chain, will remove several of Unilever’s top brands, including Bertolli, Omo, Unox and Knorr, from its supermarket shelves. AH is likely to try to substitute more of its private label products for Unilever products as negotiations progress.

In retaliation, Unilever is likely to approach rival supermarkets to encourage them to take advantage of the absence of Unilever products in AH supermarkets by placing the products in prominent places on their shelves, reported Het Financieele Dagblad.
