“New Activia Selects offer even more choices that can help regulate your digestive system when consumed every day for two weeks as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, so you feel good inside,” said Activia spokesperson Jamie Lee Curtis.

The Activia range is made with bifidus regularis, the probiotic culture and, when consumed daily for two weeks as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, help regulate the digestive system, the company said.

Last year, Danone settled with US regulators investigating claims the French food giant made when advertising probiotic products in the market.

The US Federal Trade Commission said Danone had agreed to drop “exaggerated” health claims on Activia yoghurt and DanActive dairy drinks.

The settlement between Danone and the FTC saw the food maker pay US$21m to 39 US states that had launched their own inquiries into the advertising of the products.
