Dannon, the US arm of French dairy giant Danone, has made two senior appointments within its sales and marketing team.

Luciano Lopez-May has been named Dannon’s senior vice president of sales, while Sergio Fuster has been appointed as to senior vice president of marketing.

Lopez-May will be responsible for leading Dannon’s sales strategy and resource allocation, including the development of customer partnerships and new business. He joined the company seven years ago as sales director for its business with global Wal-Mart Stores and Sam’s Club.

Lopez-May replaces Eric O’Toole, who is set to head up Dannon’s newly-created foodservice and restaurant business unit.

Fuster, previously vice president of marketing at Danone’s unit in Mexico, will lead its US arm’s marketing team, new product development and advertising for its fresh dairy brands. He replaces Marc Jove who has moved onto another role with Danone, the company said yesterday (23 August).
